About Speaker Haile
Haile has been a member of the Tennessee Senate since 2010 when he was elected to represent the 18th Senatorial District. In 2018, Lt. Governor McNally appointed Haile Speaker Pro Tempore of the Tennessee Senate.
Born and raised in Sumner County, Haile has always called Tennessee home. After graduating from Lipscomb University and then from University of Tennessee with a B.S. in Pharmacy, he returned home to serve patients as a pharmacist. Haile also owns Haile Farms, a cattle farm that serves middle Tennessee.
As a proud father of four and grandfather of eight, Senator Haile is committed to the safety of children and Tennessee communities. He is a strong supporter of local law enforcement and fights against illegal immigration in the state. Additionally, as an adoptive parent, Haile is passionate about improving Tennessee’s adoption and foster care system.
Haile lives in Gallatin with his wife Kay. They have four children and eight grandchildren.
